MEET YOUR HYGIENISTS

Picture

Denise Pawlyshyn, RDH

Denise, owner and operator of Clean Between has been off work since having shoulder surgery in June of 2018. Unfortunately, things did not heal as expected and she may require further surgery to address the persistent complications.

Denise has worked very hard to find a hygienist to provide care for her patients while she has been working on her recovery. She is happy to welcome an experienced, gentle and caring local registered dental hygienist to her practice.

Nikki will start treating patients at both the Castlegar and Kaslo clinics in March 2020.
Denise graduated from The College of New Caledonia in Prince George with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene, in 1998.  Her passion for oral health took her overseas, where she gained invaluable experience from working directly with highly skilled, knowledgeable dentists and specialists.

In the spring of 2012, Denise completed the DECOD (Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities) program through the University of Washington, which qualifies her to work as a residential care dental hygienist.

Denise constantly educates herself by attending dental conventions, by reading everything available relating to oral health and overall health,  she keeps up to date about the newest dental products on the market.

Denise has taken her IST course offered by CHDA in Victoria. IST allows Denise to provide temporary interim restorations in situations where patients are otherwise unable to access dental services.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, you can trust that you will receive the highest
quality of care from Denise.

Nikki, RDH
Clean Between is excited to welcome Registered Dental Hygienist, Nikki, to the practice!

Nikki graduated at the top of her class in 2011, with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from the Canadian National Institute of Health in Ottawa.  She takes continuing education very seriously and prides herself on providing the best care possible for her patients in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Nikki spent time overseas working and gaining experience as a dental hygienist. After a year and a half away she is ecstatic to be back in her hometown to continue her career with Clean Between.

Nikki is also active in volunteering to aid those in need. She has joined teams of medical and dental  professionals for mission trips to third world countries. She also regularly gives back at home in the Kootenay's by donating toothbrushes to local hospitals and food banks. Being very goal oriented, she plans to continue to do mission trips each year to isolated communities with no access to dental care.

In her free time, Nikki enjoys travelling the world, hiking, and spending time with her animals ( 2 Sphynx cats and a little dog).

Nikki will be starting at Clean Between in March. She is available Thursdays, Fridays and every second Wednesday. Please call or go online to book your dental cleaning today!
